Audrey and Miranda-01/11/2009Day8- Each day beings at 6:30p.m. for Miranda. Tonight(Saturday) she received her fifth blood transfusion. Each time she receives a blood transfusion it is 1 1/2ml(1 1/2cc) of blood every hour for 4hours. Which is a total of 6ml (6cc) of blood each time she receives a transfusion. Miranda is receiving pain medicine on a IV drip, antibiotics, TPN, lipids and IVF's. Her blood gases are stilling doing good. Miranda received her sixth blood transfusion and now she is receiving platelets for the first time. She receives 6ml(6cc) of platelets in one hour. Miranda's kidneys are not functioning as well, the doctors are talking about putting her back on Dopamine for a short time. The doctors say Miranda is doing as well as can be excepted for everything she has been through.

ReplyDeleteWe were very excited that Kris had this website and that we were able to see pictures for the first time. Miranda is beautiful, despite all the tubes and tape! You are in our thoughts and prayer, always!
